“BUSINESS FOR SMARTIES”
by Nicholas De Waal

A Hands-On Manual for Starting a Successful Business or Making Your Business Prosper.

“Last year about 600,000 small businesses opened”, says the Small Business Administration. “ In just a few years, less then half of those will still exist”.

New businesses open their doors every day, but unfortunately many of them don’t make it in
today’s marketplace. This is bad news and there is a reason for it. Studies show that most people starting a business have not received the proper education or are not aware of the many business aspects they need to know in order to survive. It seems that people did not learn in school what they needed to know in order to successfully own a business.

Especially in the start-up phase, so many important decisions are made that later seem the reason for business failure. Many people also receive the wrong advice from money-driven lawyers, brokers and accountants. It seems no one worries about the safety of the investment and the safety of the people involved. Small business owners usually use all their savings or an inheritance to start their dream, but no one seems to care if in just a few years, all the money has been lost.

We find this problem unfortunate and unnecessary, and our mission is to help prevent such outcomes.
